Integrations
Connect Spectre Reviews AI with email services, Google Shopping, Meta, and Shopify Flow
Integrations
Overview
Spectre Reviews AI integrates with several third-party services and Shopify platform features. This page explains each integration and how to set it up.
Integrations
Shopify Flow
Spectre includes a Flow trigger that fires whenever a new review is created. You can use this to build automations — for example, sending a Slack notification for negative reviews or tagging orders when a customer leaves a 5-star review.
Spectre also provides a Flow email template for review notification emails. To enable it:
- Open Spectre Reviews AI and go to Settings.
- Click Enable Review Notifications.
- This opens the Shopify Flow editor with a pre-built template. Activate the flow.
Google Rich Snippets
Rich Snippets add star-rating structured data (JSON-LD) to your product pages so Google can display review stars in search results.
- Go to Settings in the app.
- Enable Google Rich Snippets (requires Pro plan or above).
- Spectre syncs aggregate rating data to Shopify product metafields automatically.
- In the theme editor, make sure Enable Rich Snippets is toggled on in the Reviews block settings.
Note: Google decides whether to display rich snippets. Enabling this feature makes your pages eligible but does not guarantee display.
Google Shopping feed
The Google Shopping feed generates an XML file containing all your published reviews in Google's Product Reviews format. Submit this URL to Google Merchant Center so your reviews appear in Google Shopping results.
- Go to Settings and enable Google Shopping feed (Pro plan or above).
- Copy the feed URL shown on the page:
https://{your-store}.myshopify.com/apps/spectre-reviews/feeds/google.xml - In Google Merchant Center, go to Product Reviews and add the feed URL.
Meta / Instagram Shopping feed
The Meta feed generates a JSON file for Meta Commerce Manager, allowing your reviews to appear on Facebook and Instagram Shopping.
- Go to Settings and enable Meta/Instagram Shopping feed (Pro plan or above).
- Copy the feed URL:
https://{your-store}.myshopify.com/apps/spectre-reviews/feeds/meta.json - In Meta Commerce Manager, add the feed URL under your product catalog settings.
Email (Resend)
Spectre uses the Resend email service to send review request emails to your customers. The integration is built in — you don't need a separate Resend account.
Custom sender identity:
By default, review request emails come from a Spectre address. To send from your own domain:
- Go to Settings → Review Request Emails.
- Enter your preferred From name and From email (e.g.,
reviews@yourstore.com). - Spectre displays the DNS records (SPF and DKIM) you need to add to your domain's DNS settings.
- Add the records with your domain registrar or DNS provider.
- Return to the app and click Check Verification.
Once verified, all review request emails will come from your custom address.
Cloudinary (media storage)
Customer-uploaded images and videos are stored in Cloudinary. This integration is handled automatically — there is no merchant-facing configuration. Media is served directly from Cloudinary's CDN for fast load times.
Groq (AI analysis)
Spectre uses the Groq AI service for sentiment analysis, topic extraction, and product summaries. This integration is handled automatically and is metered through your plan's AI credit allocation. No merchant-facing setup is required.
Shopify admin extensions
Spectre adds several extensions to your Shopify admin:
| Extension | Location | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Send review request | Order detail page → More actions | Send a review request email to the customer for that order. |
| Product review summary | Product detail page (admin block) | Shows the review count and average rating for the product. |
| View in Spectre | Product detail page → More actions | Opens the product's review page in the Spectre app. |
