Overview

This guide walks you through installing Spectre Reviews AI, adding the review widget to your storefront, and collecting your first review.

Getting started

1. Install Spectre Reviews AI from the Shopify App Store and approve the requested permissions (read_products, write_products, read_orders).
2. Open the app from your Shopify admin sidebar. You'll land on the Dashboard, which shows your review metrics at a glance.
3. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize in your Shopify admin.
4. Click App embeds (the puzzle piece icon in the left sidebar) and enable Spectre Reviews Loader. This loads the JavaScript and CSS that power the review widgets on your storefront.
5. Navigate to the product page template in the theme editor.
6. Click Add block and choose one of the Spectre blocks:
   • Reviews — The full review display with sorting, pagination, and a submission form.
   • Star Rating — A compact star rating you can place anywhere on the page.
   • Rating Summary — An average-rating summary bar.
7. Save your theme and preview a product page. The reviews widget is now live.
8. Submit a test review from your storefront to confirm everything works. If Auto-publish reviews is off (the default), go to the app's Reviews page and approve it.

Tip: If you have existing reviews from another app, use Import / Export in the sidebar to upload a CSV file.
