Getting Started with Spectre Form Builder

Spectre Form Builder lets you create dynamic, multi-language forms with drag-and-drop, collect submissions, and integrate with your favorite tools. No code required for most setups—you can have a form live on your store in about 5 minutes.

What you'll need

• A Shopify store
• Spectre Form Builder installed from the Shopify App Store

Installation

1. Install Spectre Form Builder from the Shopify App Store
2. Open the app from your Shopify admin
3. You'll land on the Forms list—this is your hub for creating and managing forms

Create your first form

The fastest way to get started is with a Form Recipe (pre-built template). Recipes give you a ready-made layout you can customize later.

1. From the Forms list, click Create form
2. In the dropdown, choose Use a recipe and pick one:
   • Inline Email Form — Email + submit on one line (great for newsletters)
   • Contact Form — Name, email, message, and submit
   • Multi-Step Contact Form — Same fields split across two steps

3. Your form opens in the Form Builder. You can edit labels, add or remove fields, and change settings—all via drag-and-drop.

4. When you're happy with it, click Save

Embed your form

The easiest way to show a form on your store is with the Theme App Block. No code required.

1. In the Form Builder, click Get Embed Code (or open Form Settings and use the embed section)
2. Choose Theme Block
3. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize
4. Open the page where you want the form (e.g. Contact, Home)
5. Click Add block and find Spectre Form
6. Select your form, adjust alignment and width if needed, then Save

Your form is now live. Customers can submit it directly from your storefront.

View your first submission

1. Submit a test response on your storefront
2. In Spectre Form Builder, go to Submissions (global view) or open your form and go to Submissions for that form
3. Click a submission to see all fields, metadata (IP, device, etc.), and any file uploads
